Day 1: 3.. 2..1.. Liftoff!

We begin our cross-country adventure at all Hawaii airports. Get set for a restful ride on a jumbo aircraft as we begin our exciting journey to our nation’s capitol. Upon arrival in Washington D.C. we will settle in at our hotel - Hampton Inn - and then we are off for a scrumptious dinner and a chance to meet fellow participants at Fuddruckers restaurant in Silver Spring, Virginia.

Day 2: The Capitol Building

The day starts off with breakfast at the hotel, then we set out to Capitol Hill. Your guided tour will include visits to Statuary Hall, the original Supreme Court chamber and the “Crypt”. After lunch, we will meet with one of Hawaii's delegates (time permitting), and visit the Library of Congress – the world’s largest library! Dinner at Union Station - a magnificent building that has played host to 17 Presidents and countless foreign dignitaries.


Day 3: Arlington National Cemetery & Illuminated tour of Washington D.C.

Begin the day with the traditional “Changing of the Guards” at the “Tomb of the Unknown Soldier” at the memorable Arlington Cemetery. Catch a glimpse of the resting places of past presidents, Supreme Court justices, and other notables. Lunch at the Pentagon City Mall, then off to Mt. Vernon – the home of George Washington himself - tour the Mansion house and estate. Dinner at Froggy Bottom Pizza then the highlight of our visit – the Illuminated Tour of Washington D.C. including the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and more.

Day 4: Historic Philadelphia

Today we head to Pennsylvania walking tour of the “City of Brotherly Love” – Philadelphia. Some highlights of the tour are Independence Hall, The Liberty Bell Center, Betsy Ross House, National Constitution Center, Declaration House, the First Bank of the U.S., Old City Hall and more. On to dinner at the Hard Rock Café.


Day 5: The Smithsonian Museums and National Mall

Souvenir group photo at the Grant Memorial. Spend the day wandering the seemingly endless and fascinating exhibits at the Smithsonian Institution Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History. Be on the look out for the Wright Brother’s 1903 Flyer, the Apollo 11 Lunar Module, the 45.5 carat Hope Diamond, and the dinosaur fossils! See the flag that inspired our National Anthem, and other amazing exhibits linking our past to our future.

NEXT – SHOPPING!! Adrundel Mills Mall has more than 200 stores, many of which we don’t have in Hawaii plus 24-plex theaters and more. Dinner will be at the exciting Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament – eat with your hands and cheer with your mouth full as our knight battles for the honor of his Princess!

Homeward Bound...

Our adventure ends and we say our goodbyes to Washington, D.C.. We take with us lifetime memories of a most fantastic visit to our nation’s capitol.
